MO Firefighters Battle Massive Church Fire

Firefighters battled a massive fire at the historic Westport Presbyterian Church in Kansas City on Thursday night, according to a report from KMBC ABC 9 Kansas City.



The report indicates that the church, founded in 1835, was quickly engulfed in flames. A church secretary escaped from the burning building and a nearby daycare was evacuated shortly after the fire started. No injuries were reported at the church or the daycare. The church also housed the the Westport Cooperative Services offices, which were destroyed by the fire.
