Mom Delivers Twins at Cheviot (OH) Fire Station

A Hamilton County family grew by two at a Cheviot fire station early Friday.

Firefighter David Miller said that around 12:30 a.m., a man was taking his daughter to the hospital because she was in labor.

But near Cheviot Fire Station 16, the woman began giving birth, so her father pulled up in front of the station’s doors. A police officer at the station came outside to help while calling dispatch for assistance.

The woman’s father delivered the first child, a girl, then firefighters helped deliver the second child, a boy, Miller said.

Mom and babies were then transported to Good Samaritan Hospital, Miller said.
