Multiple cars caught fire early Thursday morning on the city’s Southwest Side in an incident investigators believe was intentional, reports NBC Chicago.
At approximately 3:30 a.m., the Chicago Fire Department reported to 63rd and Kildare in Chicago’s West Lawn neighborhood, according to officials. They discovered three vehicles, a red Chevy, a dark colored SUV, and a black Ford Explorer, on fire.
Investigators determined that an accelerant was used to start the fires.
“This is shocking to see I’ve never seen anything like this,” Cynthia Garcia, who works in the neighborhood, said.
