Multiple Videos Show Deadly Car Crash into FL Fireworks Store

According to a report from FOX35, a 53-year-old man was killed and a massive fire erupted after he crashed his SUV into a fireworks store in Melbourne, Florida, on Monday.

Thirty firefighters from multiple agencies responded to the incident at Phantom Fireworks at 4433 W. New Haven Avenue.

The Florida Highway Patrol said the driver first rear-ended a pickup truck and continued driving through the intersection until he crashed through a window of Phantom Fireworks.

The SUV driver was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver of the truck also involved was not injured.

Two shop employees were able to escape to safety unharmed. Brevard County Fire & Rescue Chief Patrick Voltaire said strict safety rules with escape routes might have helped save them.

The state fire marshal is now investigating the building fire and state troopers are continuing to investigate the car crash.
