Firefighter Dies in Muncie (IN) Church Fire

One firefighter was killed and two injured at church fire in Muncie, Indiana, on Wednesday.

Police officers and firefighters saluted as the body of Scott Davis, 40, was carried out of the Tabernacle of Praise Church after the fire there was extinguished, according to The Star Press. Two other firefighters sustained non-life-threatening injuries.

The cause of the fire is under investigation. Davis reportedly went missing on the fireground after the structure’s roof collapsed. A former Yorktown fire chief, Davis was a married father of three children.
