•PENNY RAU retired as deputy fire chief of the Nassau County (FL) Department of Emergency Service after 21 years with the department. She will be succeeded by KEITH LOWSTETTER, the battalion chief for EMS with the Clay County (FL) Department of Public Safety and a 24-year fire service veteran.
•FRANK ENNIST was named chief of the Deltona (FL) Fire Department. Previously, he served as an assistant chief with the Broward County (FL) Fire Department.
•TRACY BRALEY was named deputy chief of the Cocoa Beach (FL) Fire Department. Previously, Braley was shift commander.
•MARTY F. BROWN, assistant chief of the Bainbridge (GA) Public Safety Department, received the Veterans of Foreign Wars Firefighter Award.
•ADAM K. THIEL was appointed director of the Virginia Department of Fire Programs. Previously, Thiel served as a lieutenant/paramedic with Fairfax County (VA) Fire and Rescue Department. He is president of A-K Thiel, Ltd., a public safety consulting firm, and a member of the Executive Board of the Fairfax County Professional Fire Fighters and Paramedics, IAFF Local 2068.
