Gregg Noll was named the hazardousmaterials coordinator for the Prince George’s County (Md.) Fire Department in July. He’s responsible for coordinating all haz-mats planning, training, and response activities within the county government.

Before holding this position, Noll was a safety and fire protection specialist with the American Petroleum Institute in Washington, D.C., for six years. He was also a fire instructor at Iowa State University-Fire Service Institute in Ames, Iowa, for two years and a firefighter with the Reading (Pa.) Fire Department for two years.

Noll is a member of the NFPA’s Technical Committee on Hazardous Materials Response Personnel and the Technical Subcommittee on Hazardous Chemical Protective Clothing.

The International Association of Fire Chiefs has announced that its associate executive director, Colin A. Campbell, has resigned from the association after 10 years of service. Campbell is leaving the association to open his own consulting firm.

Campbell started with the IAFC in 1977 and has held a number of other positions there: editor of International Fire Chief Magazine, editor and director of information, director of operations, acting executive director, and associate executive director. As associate executive director, he was responsible for the association’s publications, public relations, information, and government affairs functions.

Campbell’s new firm, Colin A. Campbell & Associates, located in Alexandria, Va., will specialize in publications management, editorial services, association management, and government relations on the national, state, and local levels.
