NAMES IN THE NEWS
LES WILLIAMS, chairman and cofounder of Williams Fire and Hazard Control (formerly Boot and Coots Flammable Liquid Fire and Hazard Control Specialists), received the highest annual awards from two inventors organizations. In April, he received the Intellectual Property Owners “Distinguished Inventor” award for 1991 for his development of an adjustable foaming chamber stem for foam-applying nozzles. In June, he was recognized as “Texas Outstanding Inventor” by the Property Law Section of the Texas State Bar Association for his lifetime achievement in creating a body of work that has significantly advanced the state-of-the-art of firefighting foam application technology.
