Vandervort Appointed
William J. Vandevort was recently appointed assistant editor at Oklahoma State University Fire Protection Publications.
Before coming to OSU, Vandervort was a captain in the Napa, Calif., Fire Department. He taught in the California community college system for the last eight years and worked as a part-time field instructor in the state fire services program, where he was involved in curriculum development work.
As assistant editor, he will be in charge of revising the fire training manuals which are reviewed periodically by national committees.
