November 27, 2007 – Little Rock, AR – The National Society of Executive Fire Officers (NSEFO) held its biannual election of Officers and Board Members last week at the organization’s annual conference in Little Rock, AR. The following members were elected to serve one and two-year terms:

NSEFO is comprised of 450 Fire Chiefs and Chief Officers who are graduates or students of the National Fire Academy’s (NFA) Executive Fire Officer Program. The organization is dedicated to the mission and programs of the National Fire Academy, the U.S. Fire Administration, the Department of Homeland Security, as well as other Federal Fire Programs.
Under this leadership, NSEFO will develop and support an Executive Fire Officer’s Networking System; enable and encourage lifelong learning and enrichment opportunities for all members of the Society; facilitate communication among members and with the leadership of the NFA; sponsor and endorse conferences, meetings, programs and activities which support continued opportunities for Society members; and cooperate with other local, state, and national organizations that support Executive Fire Officers’ professional development
The Officers and Board of Directors of NSEFO share a passion for increasing professionalism in the fire service and are dedicated to leadership programs, professional development, and promoting more substantive educational opportunities for Chief Fire Officers. They are also embracing this opportunity to be a driving force behind the direction of NSEFO and look forward to increasing membership, implementing professional development and leadership programs as well as mentoring Chief Officers around the country.
