A new Disney feature film being released later this month uses wildland firefighting as its backdrop.

Set to be released July 18, “Planes: Fire & Rescue” features a dynamic crew of elite firefighting aircraft devoted to protecting historic Piston Peak National Park from raging wildfire.

The movie features various firefighting planes voiced by a number of famed actors, including Ed Harris, Dane Cook, Julie Bowen, and others.

The film comes out at a time when the American West is dealing with chronic drought and the threat of extreme wildfires. Earlier this year, a number of fires scorched San Diego County, while currently fire crews are battling to contain the Monticello Fire burning in rugged terrain in Northern California.
