Kerri Donis, an 18-year veteran who has been interim chief of the Fresno (CA) Fire Department since June, has been named the department’s new chief.
The announcement was made at a news conference on Tuesday afternoon, according to the Fresno Bee (http://bit.ly/1j7OfCH).
Donis replaces Rob Brown, who resigned as Fresno fire chief on August 6, just over a year into the job and nearly two months after he was arrested in a domestic violence incident.
