New Jersey Ambulance Catches Fire While Transporting Patient

A Budd Lake (NJ) ambulance caught fire early Sunday morning while transporting a patient.

A report on NJ.com said (http://bit.ly/1gquXUA) Budd Lake Ambulance 75 was on its way to transport a patient to a local hospital when smoke started to come out of the dash, according to Budd Lake Fire Department Assistant Chief Kevin Maloney.

The crew pulled to the side of the road and saw flames coming through the heating vents. The ambulance was fully engulfed in flames.

Crew members removed the patient from the ambulance and brought him to an apartment for safety. The patient and crew members were transported by another ambulance.

In a separate incident today, three people were killed when an ambulance crashed on a Texas highway.
