New Jersey Firefighters Rescue Occupant from Motor Vehicle Accident

Firefighters responded to a motor vehicle crash with entrapment in Pennsauken, New Jersey.

On May 17, Battalion 11 arrived on location to find a four-vehicle accident with an occupant trapped, one ejected, and multiple patients down. Command requested a total of eight BLS units and four ALS units.

First-Due Tasks At An MVA

Engine 1132, Engine 11-1 and Ladder 11-5 worked to free the occupant from the vehicle on its side. Crews removed a section of the roof and post to extricate the victim.

Three patients were transported to the Trauma Unit. BLS from Pennsauken. Camden, Collingswood, Westmont, Cherry Hill, and Cinnaminson, ALS 43, 44, 45, 32 and the ALS Asst. Chief operated on scene. The accident remains under investigation.
