A 25-year-old woman was killed and three firefighters were injured on Thursday morning after a fire broke out in a Cherry Hill home, reports nj.com (http://tinyurl.com/j6czwp5)

Cherry Hill Fire Chief Thomas Kolbe said the fire was reported at about 10 a.m. after the woman’s mother arrived at the house on the 400 block of Sheffield Drive.

Firefighters arrived just five minutes after the mother’s 911 call and were able to enter the home, despite heavy smoke and fire, and located the victim in a back bedroom.

The female victim, who Kolbe declined to identify, was removed from the home and transported to Kennedy University Hospital in Cherry Hill, where she later succumbed to her injuries.

Three firefighters were treated for minor burns they sustained in the process of rescuing the woman and later released. The fire was brought under control after about 38 minutes.
