Nine Hospitalized, Including Two Firefighters, After OH Condo Fire

According to a report from WCPO, nine people were hospitalized, including two Cincinnati (OH) Fire Department (CFD) crew members, after a College Hill condo complex fire early Tuesday monring.

The CFD was dispatched to the Hammond North Apartments on Hamilton Avenue Crews at around 1:10 a.m. for a fire alarm activation. They arrived to find heavy flames shooting from several first-floor units.

CFD officials said this was a three-alarm fire and additional crews were called to assist.

CFD crews brought the fire under control quickly. Investigators said at least one resident had injuries considered “serious,” but all those hospitalized are expected to recover.

The cause of the incident is still under investigation.
