The National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health (NIOSH) has released an online map tracking firefighter fatalities in the United States.

The site, located at http://wwwn.cdc.gov/wisards/fffmap/, shows which deaths have “pending” or “completed” NIOSH investigations with links to final reports. U.S. Fire Administration (USFA) fatality data for the investigated deaths and all other fire fighter deaths are shown in interactive map and tabular data views that users can tailor to specific fatality criteria. The data are updated regularly as new information becomes available.
