NJ Firefighters Respond to Five-Alarm Apartment Building

At least eight firefighters were injured in a five-alarm fire at an apartment building today in Passaic, New Jersey.

The firefighters were hospitalized with smoke inhalation and heat exhaustion as crews worked in the searing heat, according to a WABC report (http://bit.ly/17F15nk). Firefighters rescued a number of residents, some of whom were injured.

A number of fire departments responded to the fire, which forced the evacuation of the local high school.
