NJ House Fire Injures Firefighter

Mendham Township (NJ) – An early morning fire ripped through a split-level house at 16 Browning Court.

John Patrick Scrudato, 58, who lived in the house with his mother, Maureen Scrudato, 92, said they both exited the house safely and were treated at Livingston’s St. Barnabas Medical Center for minor injuries at around 4 a.m.

An unnamed Chester (NJ) volunteer firefighter was transported to Morristown Medical Center for treatment of chest pains and shortness of breath. He remains in the hospital for testing.
