North Las Vegas Professional Fire Fighters Build and Staff Firehouse for Charitable Organization's Magical Forest

The North Las Vegas Professional Fire Fighters are proud to announce they will be recreating the Northern Lights Firehouse for local charity, Opportunity Village’s Magical Forest holiday display, with proceeds benefitting people with special needs.

Taking ownership of the firehouse display, North Las Vegas Fire Fighters clean, repair, and decorate the attraction each year. They also volunteer their time to staff the firehouse and take photos with children and families who visit.

Amanda Mitchell, Magical Forest Events Manager, appreciates these charitable acts and says, “This year the Magical Forest celebrates its 22nd anniversary.  We are so appreciative of the love and attention that the men and women of the North Las Vegas fire department bring to us every year by taking ownership of the Northern Lights Firehouse. They are here each evening manning the firehouse, helping the kids ring the firehouse bell, and raffling off a wonderful prize, with all proceeds benefitting Opportunity Village. There is just no way to imagine opening the Magical Forest without having them here with us.”

The Magical Forest is a winter wonderland and cherished Southern Nevada tradition with millions of sparkling lights, nightly entertainment, and holiday displays. Each year, this holiday attraction brings in guests from all over the Las Vegas valley. Proceeds benefit Opportunity Village, a nonprofit organization dedicated to helping people with disabilities become productive citizens in their communities.

The North Las Vegas Professional Fire Fighters are members of the Professional Fire Fighters of Nevada.
