NVFC donates $50,000 to Fallen Firefighters Memorial

The National Volunteer Fire Council (NVFC) donated $50,000 to the National Fallen Firefighters Memorial in Emmitsburg, Maryland. The memorial, constructed in 1981 as a tribute to fallen firefighters, is in need of restoration and expansion. Each year at the end of Fire Prevention Week, the U.S. Fire Administration hosts the National Fallen Firefighters Memorial weekend (October 13-14, 1996).
