Family Jumps to Escape Raging Ronkonkoma (NY) Apartment Fire

A family of three scrambled to escape an apartment fire early Sunday on Long Island, New York.

CBS reports that the fire in Ronkonkoma’s Colony Park Complex displaced at least 40 people. One family of three had to jump to escape the flames, with a man jumping over a balcony as his handed him their young daughter. The woman was compelled to jump to escape. ABC reported that the mother and daughter sustained minor injuries.
