Ocala (FL) firefighters responded to a vehicle collision early Monday afternoon. Three adults, a four-year-old toddler and a one-week-old infant were evaluated by paramedics, resulting in one adult being transported to the hospital by ambulance.
The two-vehicle collision occurred at the intersection of East Silver Springs Boulevard and 8th Avenue. According to Fire Captain Doug Smutko, the children were fortunately in car seats and were not injured.
Ocala Fire Rescue responded at 1:17 p.m. and arrived one minute later. Traffic was impeded for 30 minutes.
