Firefighters discovered a meth lab at the scene of a Sunday morning fire in Tulsa, Oklahoma.
The Tulsa World (http://bit.ly/NMs1p4) reports that the meth lab was found after firefighters put out a basement fire that started at about 9:20 a.m. at the home near West Admiral Boulevard and North Quanah Avenue, Tulsa Fire Captain Stan May said.
Tulsa Police Department’s Special Investigation Division was called out to the home because fire officials believed the fire may have been caused by the meth lab, Tulsa Police Captain Karen Tipler said.
Investigators are still unsure what caused the fire, May said.
A large family with several pets escaped injury, said District Fire Chief Eddie Bell. He said a passerby had called in the fire to authorities. No one was injured.
Six occupants exited the home before firefighters arrived, Bell said.
