One child is dead after a house fire at a Baltimore rowhouse early Monday.
Two other children–including one firefighters believe was dropped from a window into the arms of onlookers–were hospitalized, according to the Baltimore Sun (http://bsun.md/1y8BZb2).
The department received a call for the fire at 1:39 a.m. and was on the scene within two minutes. They controlled the fire in approximately 40 minutes and entered the structure, finding two children under the age of 10 on the upper floor.
Both were transported to an area shock trauma facility, where one seven-year-old child was pronounced dead. Witnesses told fire investigators that one of the children had dropped a third out of a second-story window; this child was treated and released.
