One child was killed, another is missing, and at least two other people were injured in an early morning house fire in Johnstown.

The blaze broke out around 1:30 a.m. on the 700 block of Highland Avenue, WTAJ is reporting.

Cambria County Coroner Jeffrey Lees confirmed one child died in the fire and, as of the latest report Wednesday morning, first responders were still searching for another child.

It’s a tough and emotional scene Wednesday morning for the firefighters, where video shows the charred frame of a home as crews search the ruins flashlights, looking for the second child, WTAJ is reporting.

There is no word yet on what caused the fire, but reports indicate fire crews will be investigating for much of the day.
