One Dead in CT House Fire



According to a report from NBC Connecticut, one man has died in a Bristol, Connecticut, house fire on Monday night.

Bristol Fire Department (BFD) crews were dispatched to the home on Steele Road at around 10 p.m. for an active structure fire.

As BFD firefighters searched the home, they discovered the unconscious man in the basement. He was removed from the home and brought to a waiting ambulance, where EMS began performing life-saving measures.

The victim was later pronounced dead at the scene; his identity has not been released.

One other resident of the home escaped to safety.

The fire remains under investigation.
