One Dead in DE House Fire

Newark (DE) – Crews are on the scene of a fire in New Castle County, Delaware. The fire broke out around 5:10 a.m. at 7 South Fawn Drive in Newark.

Five people were reportedly inside the house at the time. Four were able to escape. A 67-year-old male died in the fire, and a woman was taken to Christiana Hospital for smoke inhalation.

Talleyville (DE) – The State Fire Marshal will attempt to determine what sparked a house fire in Talleyville this morning that claimed the life of one man.

The fire broke out just before 4:30 a.m. in the 1100 block of Artwin Road; arriving firemen found heavy flames coming from the rear of the house.
