One Dead in TX Car Fire

Leander (TX) – One person is dead after a car fire in Leander. Emergency crews were dispatched just before 4 a.m. to a single vehicle crash and fire on FM 2243 near Apple Springs Drive.

According to the Leander Police Department, the driver of a gold Jeep Cherokee was heading westbound on FM 2243 when it crossed into oncoming lanes and crashed through a fence and into a tree, where it became engulfed in flames.
