One Dead, One Injured in New Jersey Turnpike Car Fire

Jersey City, NJ – One person was killed following a two-car crash in Jersey City on the New Jersey Turnpike’s Newark Bay Extension yesterday morning, officials said.

The crash on the westbound elevated roadway occurred at 9:09 a.m.; a man was taken to the Jersey City Medical Center, where he was later pronounced dead, said a New Jersey State Police trooper in Newark. The man suffered from internal bleeding.
