One Dead, Two Firefighters Hurt After Prince George’s County (MD) Fire

According to a report from WUSA9, one person is dead after a house fire in District Heights, Maryland, that occurred at around 10 p.m. Sunday night on the 1900 block of Brewton Street, Prince George’s County Fire/EMS Department (PGCFD) officials said.

On arrival, PGCFD crews found heavy fire coming from the two-story single-family home. Moments later, they knocked down the flames and extinguished the fire.

One man was discovered and removed during an interior search. PGCFD officials also said crews attempted life-saving efforts on the man, but he was later pronounced dead at the scene.

Two PGCFD firefighters were hurt during the response and transported to a local hospital for treatment of minor injuries.
