According to a report from WRAL, a fire that erupted Sunday night at the Six Forks Station apartment complex in Raleigh killed one person, and injured five others, including two firefighters, who suffered minor burns. The victim died from their injuries at WakeMed Hospital Monday morning.
Raleigh Fire Department Public Information Officer Chaz Moore said that an unspecified electrical malfunction was the cause of the fire.
About 30 percent of the building suffered damage, while two apartments were left completely uninhabitable. The fire was one of at least three reported in the Triangle in a 24-hour period.
