One MA Firefighter Hurt, 30 Displaced in Raging Triple-Decker Home Fire

According to a report from WCVB, one firefighter was hurt and 30 people displaced after a raging fire erupted in a six-unit, multifamily home on Blossom Street in Chelsea, Massachusetts, at around 1 a.m. Tuesday.

On arrival, Chelsea Fire Department (CFD) crews discovered heavy fire coming from all three floors and the rear of the structure.

All residents escaped to safety, and there were no reported injuries. One CFD member was transported to Massachusetts General, but is expected to make a full recovery.

CFD Deputy Chief Michael Masucci said that crews were confronted with water issues at the scene because of a bad hydrant.

The structure was left a total loss.
