OR Firefighters Rescue Horse from Septic Tank

Firefighters used a pulley-system to free a 33-year-old horse that was trapped up to its neck in a septic tank in Portland, Oregon.

According to an Associated Press report (http://bit.ly/HlIyLj), the horse’s owner called 911 Monday to report that the quarter horse had fallen into an old tank. The residents say they didn’t know about the old septic tank buried in their half-acre backyard. Crews called for a rope-rescue team to remove the trapped animal.
