At Least Nine Hospitalized, School Evacuated in PA Carbon Monoxide Incident

At least nine people were hospitalized and a school was evacuated after a reported carbon monoxide incident Thursday in Fleetwood, Pennsylvania.

According to the Reading Eagle, thee hospitalized became ill while rehearsing a play in the Fleetwood Middle School’s auditorium.

Emergency personnel responding to the scene Thursday evening found three people unconscious and several others overcome. Initial reports were of carbon monoxide poisoning, but firefighters could not detect carbon monoxide or pinpoint a source of the problem.

The patients were transported, treated, and have been released. The incident is still being investigated.
