According to a report from KMOV, the devastating February 10 house fire in Polk Township, Pennsylvania, that killed 53-year-old Rosemarie LaBarre and her four grandchildren, ages 2 to 7, has been ruled accidental, or “fireplace-related,” by the Pennsylvania State Police fire marshal.
The children’s mother, Markie Ribera, said LaBarre, a middle school teacher, died tried to save her grandchildren.
Since that horrible day, support has poured in from the community, including a GoFundMe that has raised more than $120,000.
