Paterson (NJ) Fire Crews Battle Flames at Vacant Residence

On Sunday, Paterson (NJ) firefighters battled a large fire that heavily damaged a vacant residence in the city. Fire photographer Bill Tompkins was on hand to capture some photos of crews in action.

According to a report from The Record (http://bit.ly/13JvlMV), companies were dispatched at approximately 4:30 a.m. to the scene, which was right down the street from fire department headquarters.

No injuries were reported. The report said firefighters were forced to go defensive temporarily, then made another interior push to control the fire.
