Petzl, the world leader in innovative hands-free lighting, now offers the PIXA® series of headlamps, designed specifically to meet the needs of professionals. The compact, super-durable PIXA headlamps keep hands free while providing versatile lighting options to accommodate different work conditions.
Reliable and Easy to Use — PIXA headlamps feature integrated electronic power regulation, offering a constant level of luminosity and lighting distance. This regulation also guarantees reserve lighting that will last up to ten hours. PIXA headlamps are also compatible with lithium ion or rechargeable Ni-MHz batteries, both of which can significantly extend estimated burn time.
The rotating mode selector dial is easy to access and has excellent grip, even while wearing gloves. The lamp body may be rotated up to 45 degrees, according to need.
Exceptionally tough – More than just a headlamp, the new PIXA is a tool. It is designed to withstand shocks, falls, crushing and other incidents of daily abuse that often occur on a professional worksite. It is waterproof and remains fully operational even after complete immersion (degree of protection IP 67). This headlamp has also been tested for resistance to a number of chemical substances and is designed and certified for use in explosive environments.
Highly versatile — PIXA headlamps can be used in a variety of ways:
o Worn directly on the head with the elastic headband (included)
o Mounted on Petzl ALVEO and VERTEX helmets using the built-in attachment plate
o Worn on nearly any helmet using the rubber strap accessory (not included)
o Positioned on the floor or ground as an area light
Three PIXA models — these models give users access to the right type of lighting for their specific needs:
The PIXA 1 (MSRP: $36.95) provides a wide, uniform beam up to 15 meters for 12 hours, ideal for close-range work.
The PIXA 2 (MSRP: $59.95) has two lighting modes: a wide beam for close-up work (20 meters for 12 hours) and a mixed wide and medium-range beam that lights to 30 meters for 6 hours with a focused component in the upper part of the beam for moving around.
The PIXA 3 (MSRP: $74.95) offers a wide beam for close-up work (15 meters for 12 hours), a mixed beam for moving around (30 meters for 6 hours), and a long-range beam that lights to 55 meters for 3 hours.
Additional accessories include the POCHE PIXA, a carrying pouch for PIXA headlamps, and the new RUBBER, a durable headband compatible with most helmet types.
