Firefighters worked to control a stubborn fire in the basement of a home in Northbrook, Illinois, and fire photographer Tim Olk shared some photos from the scene.
According to a report from the local Patch, the home’s first floor collapsed into the basement during the fire on February 7. No firefighters or civilians were injured, but crews were pulled out of the structure and the fire fought defensively. The Northbrook Fire Department received assistance from the Glenview and Wheeling fire departments, Northbrook Chief Andy Carlson told reporters.
