Indianapolis Firefighters Control Residential Fire

Photos and details from Rita Reith

One firefighter sustained a slight injury while operating at this wind-driven fire at a home in Indianapolis, Indiana.

The fire forced residents of the home at 2007 Sotheby Lane to flee out the back door and communicated to two homes on either side, leaving them with slight damage, according to a report from the Indianapolis (IN) Fire Department (IFD).

Occupants told firefighters they first noticed flames outside the front door but have no idea how the fire could have started, and the cause is under investigation. Nine people were displaced.
