A pilot flying a firefighting aircraft died when the plane crashed Thursday in Australia.
David Black, 43, was undertaking firefighting operations along the South Coast when the plane he was flying crashed into remote bushland west of Ulladulla, according to the Newcastle Herald (http://bit.ly/1a2DwQ6). He was the only person on board.
In recent days, massive wildfires have ravages Australia‘s most populous state, New South Wales, killing at least one person. Cooler temperatures earlier this week enabled firefighters to make some headway on the bushfires.
