Sidewinder Photography shared some photos and video from a fully involved garage fire in Ravena, New York.
Firefighters were dispatched for a reported structure fire at 13 Western Ave. in the village of Ravena. Command stated he could see the fire from his home as he was in route to the scene. Command arrived on scene and had a fully involved two-bay garage fire, and requested mutual aid from Coeymans Fire Department and Coeymans Hallow Fire Department to the scene.
Heavy black smoke and flames filled the skies over the village of Ravena. Multiple small explosions were occurring on scene while firefighters were stretching handlines off of the first-arriving engine. Firefighters were able to establish a quick, reliable water source on scene and were able to knock down the fire quickly.
Firefighters were able to cool the siding on the homeowner’s house, preventing any fire spread to the home. The homeowner lost his 1969 Mustang and a motorcycle that was stored in the garage. The garage and belonging were a total loss, but there were no reported injuries. The fire is currently under investigation at this time and no cause has been determined.
