Report: Deaths of Boston Firefighters Ruled Accidental

A news report says the causes of two Boston firefighters’ deaths in a devastating March fire in city’s Back Bay neighborhood have been released.

According to WCVB sources, Firefighter Michael Kennedy’s cause of death was ruled to be accidental because of smoke inhalation, thermal injuries, and blunt trauma to the abdomen.

Lieutenant Edward Walsh’s cause of death was also ruled accidental from smoke inhalation and thermal injuries.

Alcohol and drugs were not factors in the deaths.
