Rosenbauer delivers specialty response units in Georgia

Rosenbauer has begun delivery of nine medium-duty walk-around rescue vehicles to the Georgia Emergency Management Agency.

Built on the Freightliner M2 two-door chassis platform with severe-duty aluminum extruded bodies manufactured at Rosenbauer’s General Safety division in Minnesota, these units will be placed in-service at various law enforcement agencies throughout the state for chemical, biological, radiological, nuclear and explosive (CBRNE) responses.

The trucks will be assigned to the following agencies: Glynn County Police Department; Gwinnett County Police Department; Hall County Sheriff’s Office; Laurens County Sheriff’s Office; Lowndes County Sheriff’s Office; Muscogee County Sheriff’s Office; Waycross Police Department; and the Cobb County Police Department. One unit remains unassigned at this time.

These CBRNE Response Units will be used to mitigate hazardous police situations, such as drug labs, bomb incidents and homeland security issues.

The units were sold by Bob Milnes of Fire Fighting Innovations, Coral Gables, Florida.
