Royal Oak (MI) Fire Department Responds to House Fire

On Thursday, December 18, 2014, at Approximately 1100 hours, the Royal Oak (MI) Fire Department was dispatched to a reported house fire at 226 Rhode Island and Delaware. Engine 9-30 arrived on scene to a two-story residential structure with smoke showing from the second floor.

The residents were out of the house on arrival. Engine 9-30 stretched handlines and performed an interior attack on the fire located in the second-floor bedroom. The fire was quickly knocked down and contained to the room of origin. One resident was treated and transported for smoke inhalation by rescue. The cause of the fire was accidental.
