Royal Oak (MI) Crews Contain Fire to Kitchen

On Sunday, December 14, the Royal Oak Fire Department was dispatched to a reported house fire at 1602 W 12 Mile & Fairlawn. Upon arrival of Engine 9-10, a working fire in a one-story occupied dwelling was found. Firefighters stretched lines and located the fire in the kitchen.

Crews were able to quickly knock down the fire, which was contained to the kitchen. Two cats were rescued from the basement. There were no injuries and the cause is under investigation.

 Engines 9-10, 9-30, 9-20, Ladder 9-12, and Rescue 91 responded to this incident
