Rural departments face challenges daily

As a chief office of a rural department, I was pleased to see the article “The Rural Fire Service: Issues and Challenges” in the December 1994 issue.
I believe at times the rural fire service is forgotten in many national publications when it comes to training information and other areas of concern to rural fire departments. Maybe with this article eyes will be opened to the issues the rural firefighter faces every day.
