A 51-year-old firefighter has died after falling ill earlier this month.
According to the U.S. Fire Administration, Columbia (SC) Firefighter Tyron Weston fell ill while on shift on July 3, 2015. During his recovery, Firefighter Weston passed away on the morning of Sunday, July 26, 2015. The nature and cause of this fatal injury are still to be determined.
Weston had 25 years of service.
