SC Firefighter Dies After Collapsing at Accident Scene

Burton (SC) Firefighter/EMT and Marine Corp veteran Stuart Hardy died peacefully today surrounded by family and fellow firefighters. On September 13th at 12:06 p.m., Firefighter Hardy responded to his last alarm. 

Hardy, 31, suffered a medical emergency and collapsed while at the scene of a vehicle accident. Hardy was assisted by Burton fire personnel and Beaufort County EMS on scene. He was taken to Beaufort Memorial Hospital and was later flown to the Medical University of South Carolina in Charleston, SC where he was listed in critical but stable condition until his passing.

Hardy leaves behind his wife and three little girls. We would like to ask people consider supporting his family through the following sources:
