Almost 100 firefighters responded to a three-alarm fire that severely damaged a building last night in Toms River, New Jersey.
The fire reportedly erupted at a trading card and video game store and destroyed several other businesses, according to the Asbury Park Press (http://on.app.com/1j2Uo2p).
Police discovered the fire after responding to a tripped burglar alarm at the business following a gaming tournament there. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
A number of departments responded the fire, drafting from the bay nearby. Some partial roof collapses occurred in the fire building, and an adjoining structure was damaged.
Fire departments from Toms River Companies 1 and 2, East Dover, Silverton, Pleasant Plains, Island Heights, Beachwood, Manitou Park, Bayville, Pinewald Pioneer, Manchester, Seaside Heights, and Forked River responded to the incident.
